Last week, the corn field on the ag plot adjacent to the new school facility was harvested! Abby Willegal, FFA Vice-President, Eden Messerli, FFA Chapter President, and William Bastian, FFA Chapter Secretary, along with Jim Weinzetl from the Farmer's Legacy Fund and Mark Turtle, GFW School Board member and Farmer's Legacy Fund member, stopped out to inspect the progress on the harvest. This plot was prepped, planted and harvested by volunteers from our supportive agriculture community with the proceeds of the 130 bushels per acre that were harvested going to support our school agriculture programs. Thanks to Mark and Brad Turtle for donating their time and their combine to complete the harvest!

October is National Principals Month, which recognizes the essential role that principals play in making a school great. Principals are among the hardest working, yet often least recognized individuals in education. Principals set the academic tone for their schools, and it is their vision, dedication, and determination that provide the mobilizing force for achieving student success. Thank you to Principal Thompson and Principal Jacobson for their continued dedication to supporting our schools, students, staff, and community members!
