Important note from FEMA - On Wednesday, October 4, beginning at 1:20 PM CST, cell towers will broadcast the test for approximately 30 minutes. WEA-compatible cell phones that are switched on should receive the test message which will read, “THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.” These alerts will be accompanied by a ‘tone’ and ‘vibration,’ so it may be a significant interruption to class.
