My name is Hanna Beussman. This is my third year at GFW. I attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN and majored in English-Secondary Education. I grew up the oldest of nine children on a crop farm in Springfield, MN. Literature is my passion and few things are as enjoyable to me as reading a good book. When I am not teaching I enjoy listening to music, watching old movies, and baking. I am thrilled to be teaching in southern Minnesota and love getting to know the surrounding communities. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Hi! My name is Mandy Blumhoefer and I am super excited to be your child’s teacher this year! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email or phone.
I firmly believe that making connections with my students is one of the most important things I can do in my classroom. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of my students and I am looking forward to all of the learning & growing that will take place this year!

I’ve been with GFW since 2001 and at the High School since 2008. I live in Gibbon with my husband, Jeff. Our 4 youngest children all graduated from GFW.
As the Career Center Advisor, I help students with planning their high school course of study, and making plans for life after high school. I also help seniors find scholarships to help them finance their after high school education.
I love working with all the students in the high school and consider myself lucky to have this position.

¡Hola!
My name is Mrs. Cari Panitzke but most of the students know me as “senyora Pay” (Sra. P) since that means Mrs. P in Spanish. That is what I teach and we have 3 levels at GFW HS with an independent level 4.
I am in my 19th year of teaching at GFW and the years have gone by so quickly, I can’t believe it. Winthrop has certainly become my home. I have officially been here longer than any other place in my life. I have met so many wonderful people and families from these communities that it keeps me going strong. I am also an EMT on the Winthrop Ambulance Service where I take pride in helping others to the best of my ability.
In 2006, I finished my master’s degree in education through Saint Mary’s University, Twin Cities campus, with my cohort being in Hutchinson. I have enjoyed learning new ways to enhance my teaching with the experiences I have obtained during this program. I graduated in October, 2006 and am very proud of this accomplishment!
I earned my bachelor’s degree from MSU in 1993 and started teaching for GFW in 1994 first in the areas of ESL and Special Ed. Then the Spanish position opened up and here I am, not too far away from my hometown; Redwood Falls, MN.
Meet Mrs. Phaengkhouane! I am in my second year at GFW. I am the K-2 Title I reading teacher and Math Title I teacher. I also work with students at PLS and St. Peter’s Lutheran School.
Mrs. Pierson is an alumni of the GFW School District and has worked with Community Ed the last 28 years. She is married and has two grown sons and two grandchildren. Some of her hobbies include gardening, yarn work, quilting and being outdoors in nature.
