Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)
ECFE classes are held at the ECFE Center located in the GFW Elementary School in Gibbon. Classes meet mornings and evenings.

Classes will be held in person with a limited capacity. Extra sanitizing and cleaning precautions will be taken. We will be limiting the class to only one parent with each child. Adults will be required to wear masks.
This age is filled with a driven sense of wonder and discovery. They are fascinated as they explore their world. They are learning to talk, to think for themselves, and to act independently. Come share with other parents ways to help your mover and shaker deal with frustrations, learn to share, and build self-esteem.
For children ages 1 year
Class starts: Tuesday, September 21st, 2021. Classes will be 8 weeks

Fee: $25 Scholarships available.
More social than ever, young children want to be busy learning about the world they live in. Take an active part in your child’s learning experiences during parent-child activity time. Parent discussions are 30 mins of the session.
For children ages 2-5 years
Class starts: Tuesday, September 21st. 2021 or Thursday, September 23rd, 2021. Class will be 8 weeks.
Time: Tuesdays 6:30pm-7:45pm OR Thursdays 6:30pm-7:45pm

ECFE at the Parks
Join us in June, July and August at the parks for fun outdoor activities, projects, art, stories and more!
Activities will be geared towards children ages birth to Pre-K but all ages are welcome.
No cost to attend!

Halloween with a Touch of Magic!

Reg. Deadline: Oct.21st – you must register to attend!
Join us for a night of Halloween fun! First we will enjoy a 30 minute program featuring age appropriate humor and uproarious audience participation. “Mixed Nuts” from a Touch of Magic, is back with a brand new show!!! They are guaranteed to produce side-splitting laughter. This show will entertain children of all ages!
After the show, children will be given the opportunity to do some “trick or treating” indoors for some fun treats and surprises!
Children are invited to wear their costumes!

Wheel and Cog is a place where children playing also inspires problem solving, science, creativity, leadership, collaboration, experimentation, and life-long learning. Come experience imaginative and interactive play.
Please pack a lunch to enjoy on the bus ride home. Tickets must be reserved by Fri, Nov. 5th. Payment is required to hold tickets. Join us for some fun at Wheel and Cog!
Holiday Baking Night with Grandparents

Children and grandparents can enjoy special time together while rolling out dough, baking, and decorating cookies. We provide all the supplies, and your kitchen stays clean!

If you are a new resident of the GFW School District and the parent of a preschooler(s) -Ages 0-5 years- please call the GFW Elementary School office to register your child on the school census. (507-207-2236) The number count is important for district planning and it will assure you receive school mailings pertinent to your young child. Thank you.
