Absentee and Early Voting
Residents may cast absentee ballots during a 46-day period leading up to the primary, from June 26 through August 10.
Absentee Voting by Mail
- Any registered voter may cast a ballot by mail. Some precincts within GFW School District have – either because of previous factors or the COVID-19 pandemic – been designated as “Mail Ballot Precincts,” meaning that in these precincts all votes will be cast by mail. County election officials will mail ballots to all currently registered voters within the first week to 10 days of the Absentee Voting period of June 26 through August 10. Voters may fill out and mail their ballots to the county election office anytime during the 46-day Absentee Voting period, but ballots must be received in county election offices by Primary Election Day, August 11.
- Residents who have not yet registered may do so online, but must allow enough time for county election officials to mail a ballot to the voter before the election.
Absentee Voting In Person
- Voters who prefer to drop off their ballots may do so at their county election office from June 26 through 3 p.m. on August 11.
- Ballots received after Election Day will not be counted.
