Seeking Community Input
An important part of this process is seeking input and feedback from the greater GFW community on what they would like to see in the next superintendent of GFW Public Schools.

Online Survey
The GFW School Board is asking district stakeholders to complete a short survey to help them make an informed decision on what skills and focuses the new superintendent should have.
In-Person Input Opportunity - Wednesday, Dec. 18
There will also be an opportunity for staff, students and community members to speak directly to the GFW search consultants on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at both school buildings.
Interested participants should sign up in either building's office for a 30 minute time slot. Sign-ups may be made in groups or individually.
Drop-ins will be accommodated if a time slot is available.

Feb. 3 or 4, 2025 | Conduct final interviews and Board offer. Negotiations with candidate on 3-year contract will occur after the selection of the candidate (up to one week process). |

Position Description
Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (GFW) Public Schools is seeking a Superintendent as of July 1, 2025.
Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate their ability to secure licensure by July 1, 2025. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not required.
The GFW Schools Office is located in Gibbon, Minnesota approximately 65 miles southwest of Eden Prairie. The GFW School District serves the communities of Gibbon, Fairfax and Winthrop. It serves approximately 590 students in PreK-12th grade programs. There is a new K-12 building under construction, with the intent to move into the new facility sometime during the 2025-2026 school year.

Construction/Project oversight
Strong planning and logistical skills to move from two buildings into one, implementing new educational programming for a new facility.
