GFW Public Schools is developing a strategic plan. The school board is working with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to provide guidance and assist with the planning.
GFW Community Input Survey
The school board sought input from school district residents and staff to help in identifying the school district’s strengths and areas for improvement. School district residents and staff had the option participate via the “GFW Strategic Planning Survey.” The information gathered from the survey will be analyzed by the MSBA and used to help identify school district strategic priorities.
Surveys submitted included 33 internal responses (staff) and 128 external community responses.
The surveys closed on Sunday, February 21. Thank you for your participation.
Community Listening Sessions
The Minnesota School Board Association held virtual listening sessions with a number of groups at GFW Public Schools on February 16.
A virtual community listening session took place in the evening of Tuesday, February 16 during the GFW Supt Talk session.
Superintendent Horton also hosted a number of additional listening sessions in each community during February and March.
GFW Strategic Planning Committee
GFW established a Strategic Planning Committee to assist in this process made up of a number of stakeholder groups.
